'Your Love' is actually a rework of one of the genre defining classic's courtesy of Dance Music Hall of Famer Frankie Knuckles and his former protégé Jamie Principle. Simon Paul reworked it, making it ready for a second go at today's Dancefloors.
'Your Love' will go down great in clubs thanks to its highly accessible sound and all-round tight production work. It also contains that summer charm that might just propel the track into proper chart success. Roog himself road tested the track during his hectic travels abroad and at gigs in his beloved Holland, so you can be assured that the quality is well above par.
The full package contains remixes by Hardsoul, Roog & Prom, Born To Funk and rising star Jordy Lishious. Roog & Greg featuring Si Paul with 'Your Love' will hit the shelves on the 14th of July. DJ's will be able to get their hands on the special promo on the 31st June.
Lucien Foort feat. Mitch Crown - Sound Of Love (Seamus Haji remix) It all started when long time friend and colleague Lucien Foort popped round at the Hardsoul headquarters, armed with his latest production ‘Sound Of Love’. Impressed with the sound and all-round feel-good vibe spread out by the track both Roog and Greg could only come to one conclusion: this track needs to be signed! And so it happened. Throughout the summer of 2007 the production was a fan favourite amongst both clubbers and DJ’s alike.
Now, almost a year later, Lucien’s track is up for release on the much respected house imprint ‘Big Love’. While both the original and instrumental edits of the track are excellent in their own right, Seamus Haji somehow manages to take things a step further in a way only he can. Uplifting yet mesmerizing, energetic yet accessible: do not miss this excellent remix of an already brilliant piece of electronic music!
Baggi Begovic & Soul Conspiracy feat. Caprice-SO into U
Artistry is often driven by a hidden force - chemistry, synchronicity, call it what you will. So when Bosnian-born Baggi Begovic dropped by the hive of activity that is the Hardsoul studio with a cool instrumental called So Into You, the creative hand of fate had worked again. Why? Roog & Greg had also written a track with the same name...
The boys got to work. Greg had the idea of bringing Dutch soul singer Caprice in for the vocal. Caprice has a sultry sound, can hit the high notes and has a new album out in April 2008 called Equilibrium. The music, lyrics and vocals fitted beautifully together. Magic.
Baggi, already excited by Roog's and Greg's reaction to the original track, quickly got back into the studio with Soul Conspiracy's Simon van Kesteren. The result is a mix with funky and tight beats with bags of cross-over potential. The duo have already turned in mixes for Stealth Records, R&G Electronics, Dos Palomas Negras Records and Sneakerz Muzik - this could be their blow-up track!
